It Starts With Relationships.

Every meaningful thing we've built began with a relationship.

The strongest partnerships don't begin with projects. They begin with people.

For nearly two decades, the partnership between BTG & the Mali community has grown through trust, shared learning, and a shared commitment to what matters most to the community.

Meaningful partnerships begin with listening, grow through trust, and endure through shared purpose.

What We're Building Together.

Every visitor experience contributes to a VCEC community fund supporting priorities defined and led by the community. Depending on current needs, this may include marine stewardship, youth opportunities, cultural preservation, education, and improvements that strengthen VCEC’s ability to welcome future visitors while protecting their way of life.

Is Vorovoro Right for You?

This experience is best suited for those who believe the richest travel experiences aren't measured by amenities, but by the people you meet, the things you learn, and the memories you take home.

We work with the community to create customized experiences on Vorovoro for families, students, researchers, divers, small groups, and independent travelers looking for an authentic connection with Fiji.

Every itinerary is customized. We'd love to help you plan an experience that's right for your group.

Plan Your Experience

Meet Your Hosts

Your experience is hosted by Tui Mali, the traditional chief of the Mali people, his family, and the wider Mali community.

Through their invitation, you'll experience Fiji not as a tourist, but as a welcomed guest - sharing in the stories, traditions, and everyday life of the people who call Vorovoro home.

Vorovoro is more than a beautiful island. It is a place of deep cultural and historical significance, with archaeological discoveries linking it to the ancient Lapita people, among the Pacific's earliest navigators and settlers.

Nestled within Fiji's Great Sea Reef - the world's third-longest barrier reef and one of its greatest centers of marine biodiversity - Vorovoro offers a rare opportunity to experience a place where culture and nature remain deeply connected.

When we take care of one, we take care of all.

"Our partnership with BTG has enabled our program to have a meaningful and long term relationship with the Mali community.

Currently we run over a dozen study abroad programs all over the world and this is by far the most immersive, transformational study abroad experience for our students."

CLAIRE WALTER
STUDY ABROAD STUDENT

"Though Fiji is a paradise, it deserves higher appreciation than that of a decadent tourist destination.

Fiji is centered on rich culture, a fusion between the practices of indigenous Fijians and the migrated Europeans.

I can’t help but miss Vorovoro’s simplicity and the rewards that come with fully earning what you have."
