Bridge the Gap, in partnership with the Mali tribe of Fiji and Auburn University, invites you to join us as our next faculty partner for an immersive study-abroad program in 2025 in Vorovoro, Fiji.
Our "Sustainability in Action" program offers a unique opportunity for students to engage with Fijian traditions, contribute to community development, and expand their horizons in ways we could never imagine.
A Cultural Odyssey
At the heart of Vorovoro Island lies the Mali tribe, custodians of Fijian traditions for generations. Led by Chief Tui Mali, students are welcomed into the Mali community as honored guests and family members. Living off-grid alongside the Vorovoro community, participants immerse themselves in remote island living, from communal meals to cultural ceremonies.
Under the guidance of Native Fijians, students gain firsthand insights into the rich tapestry of Fijian culture, forging deep connections and fostering mutual understanding.
