You are invited to Vorovoro!

“Vorovoro touches the deepest part of humanity inside of us all. Nature, simplicity… anyone who sets foot on Vorovoro is never again the same.” - Andrew Bates, Auburn 2015

Bula sia, friends of Vorovoro!

Spread the word—for the first time in Bridge the Gap history, Vorovoro Island will be open to a select group of adventurous travelers during Open Island 2018. Affordable, life-changing travel—if that appeals to you, learn more here.

A day in the life on the island is impossible to capture in words, but we are going to do our best. Vorovoro offers a lifetime immersion experience while supporting an island tribe in reaching its development goals. In a world that has historically taken from Fijians, we are there to learn from them and gain an appreciation for who they are and how they live.

So, in what way does living on a 200-acre island cause you to live a more authentic life? On Vorovoro, you will learn more about yourself, others, and the earth than you can ever quantify. By sharing their perspectives on the world with you, the Fijians create an environment that excites visitors to listen, empathize, appreciate, and reflect.

The Fijians foster a space that makes everyone feel truly accepted and valued just as they are; there is no need to cover up one’s true self. By feeling loved in one’s purest state, visitors can in return mimic the Fijian hospitality and focus on community, family, love, and respect for all things living and nonliving.

We thank you for investing your time and thoughtfulness into BTG, and we look forward to your continued interest. You’re in good company: Among our current partners are Auburn University, Engineers Without Borders, Great Sea Reef Divers, Cegu Valley Farm and we are actively looking to add others.

Keep an eye out for next week’s blog to further experience the Fijian lifestyle from your own home. If you would like to know more, let us know; we love to hear from you! And if you like what you read, tell your friends! Here is the link you can share with those who might be interested in BTG, too. And don’t forget to like us on Facebook at Bridge the Gap: Vorovoro Island and follow us on Instagram @btgvorovoro.

Moce for now!
